Clothing guidelines for models

1. Avoid heavy patterns, stripes logos and trademarks on clothing, they can be distracting.

2.  Solid, medium colors work great. Bright colors are ok, within reason. Dark colors are great for thinning, lighter colors are broadening.  Avoid pure white and pure black.   Make sure your clothes are pressed and ironed.  Always bring a couple of different choices.

3.  We always ask models to bring a jacket, sports coat or blazer just in case.  Classic styles look better.

4.  Guys: wear clothing that fits.  A loose fit is better than a tight fit.  A suit jacket or blazer should not feel binding and make sure you can button your jacket. Please make sure there is plenty of room around the collar on both your shirt and jacket.  We prefer business casual with solid colored button-down and/or solid golf shirts.

5.  Ladies, please avoid sleeveless or very short sleeves.  Every day attire is ok.  Accessorize appropriately, i.e. belts, handbags, shoes, jewelry. Classic is always better than trendy. Teenagers, please cover up those muffin tops....

6.  As a general tip regarding make up, we recommend applying your natural amount or a slightly heavier application.  Do bring some of your make up along to the photo shoot.  We have our studio kit for shiny foreheads, however your eyeliner may match better. Guys, we'll take care of you as needed..

7.  We hope these recommendations help you with preparing for your photography session.  Should you need any further assistance with your clothing or make up selections, please feel free to give us a call at 303 433-1600.
